The Dodge Magnum was released as an all-new autovehicle line for the 2005 model year and continued in 2006 with the SRT8. For 2007, the Dodge Magnum line is largely carryover, but with new improvements to option packages. All models in the line take advantage of the addition of a palette of an automatic oil change alert, low-risk deployment air bags, standard privacy glass and new exterior colors.

The starting edition ($23,000) features Chrysler's excellent 2.7-liter aluminum V6 engine fitted to a four-speed automatic transmission and rated to tow over 1200 pounds. Standard features includes tilt-telescoping steering column, AM/FM/CD sound system, a 60/40 split rear seat with center armrest, power windows and locks with remote entry, rack-and-pinion steering, premium cloth interior, air conditioning, 17-inch wheels, cruise control and disc brakes.
